A new range of Windows laptops, dubbed the ‘fastest’ and likened to Apple’s offerings, has been introduced by Acer. The tech company has revealed the latest iteration of its Swift lineup, the Swift Spin 14 AI.
Acer claims that its Swift laptops are the most advanced Windows PCs to date, with the Swift Spin 14 AI being powered by Snapdragon’s X2 Series processor. This processor promises exceptional speed and robust AI capabilities, competing with Apple’s high-performance Silicon chips.
Designated as a Copilot+ PC, this laptop is loaded with a comprehensive set of AI functionalities and tools. Its adaptable and compact design enables seamless conversion from a laptop to a tablet. Leading up to the anticipated July release, Acer is granting discounts ranging from £200 to £300 across its existing Swift laptop range, with the discount amount contingent on the chosen size and internal storage capacity.
The most substantial discount is applicable to the Acer Swift Go 16 AI model, marked down from £1,299.99 to £999.99, equating to a £300 saving. This laptop boasts a sleek ultra-light design with a fully extendable hinge, allowing a flat 180° opening.
Equipped with the potent Intel Core Ultra processor (Series 2), the Acer Swift Go 16 AI offers seamless multitasking performance. Its 16” screen features vibrant 2K OLED resolution with Eyesafe 2.0 technology for eye protection from harmful blue light.
Acer is slashing £300 off the Swift Go 16 AI laptop, which boasts 1TB of internal storage and 32GB of memory. The Copilot+ integration provides an array of AI features suitable for personal or professional use, enabling the laptop to anticipate user behavior and offer intelligent recommendations for enhanced efficiency.
Acer asserts that its Swift is the most secure Windows PC ever, thanks to layers of hardware-based security measures safeguarding user data and privacy. The Acer Swift Go 16 AI also touts an impressive 25.5-hour battery life, along with features like Bluetooth 5.4, DTS:X Ultra, HDMI 2.1, facial recognition, and a fingerprint reader.
In other Acer sale offerings, customers can save £200 on alternate Swift Go models, such as the Acer Swift Go 14 AI, priced at £1,199.99 (previously £1,399.99). Alternatively, individuals inclined towards Apple products can opt for the latest models with a minimal initial payment at Sky Mobile, where the 15” MacBook Air M5 is available for £28 when the cost is spread out over a 48-month contract with a £12 upfront fee.
An additional budget-friendly choice is the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus Gemini AI Laptop, reduced to £516.35 from £559.19 on Amazon. This lightweight model with a slim profile is suitable for everyday tasks, complemented by a 1080p Full HD display that enhances streaming, photo editing, and gaming. As for the Acer Swift Go 16 AI, experts at PC Mag have reviewed the device, noting that it offers a plethora of excellent features at a competitive price.
According to the review, the Acer Swift Go 16 excels in display quality, featuring an OLED display that delivers vibrant colors and sharp resolution.
