The couple’s perseverance paid off when they were granted a mortgage for their four-bedroom home in Prudhoe, Northumberland, valued at £192,000, with a 5% deposit of £9,600. Currently locked into a two-year fixed deal with a slightly above 5% interest rate, they plan to refinance next year to potentially lower their rate.
Louise encouraged others facing similar credit challenges not to lose hope, emphasizing that with an income and a demonstration of affordability, obtaining a mortgage despite adverse credit is feasible.
