Reeves also hinted at the government’s intention to eliminate the contentious two-child benefit cap in the upcoming Budget on November 26, aiming to lift many children out of poverty.

Chancellor’s comments emphasized the diverse reasons behind family size changes and the need to prevent children from being disadvantaged due to their family size. Commitment to tackling child poverty was reiterated, drawing parallels to past Labour government achievements in poverty reduction.
