“Mother Earns £550 Cashback on Regular Shopping with Innovative App”

A mother shared how she earned £550 in cashback over the past year by simply doing her regular shopping. Emily Booth, 37, residing in Enderby, Leicestershire, found a way to make money back on her purchases through the cashback app called tuck. This app allows users to receive cashback on everyday spending by purchasing gift cards from various retailers with a cashback rate attached.

For instance, if you buy a £50 voucher for Asda through tuck., you will receive £2 back into your account. The cashback can then be transferred to your bank account. The gift cards operate like standard retailer gift cards, with any remaining balance carried over for future use.

tuck. offers cashback with over 200 retailers, including major supermarkets and popular brands in fashion, food and drink, homeware, and dining. Emily has utilized tuck. to earn cashback from places like Sainsbury’s, Costa, Argos, IKEA, B&M, New Look, and Prezzo. Typically spending between £100 and £200 weekly on groceries, Emily earns an average of £3.50 to £5 in cashback each week on her routine shopping.

In the past year, Emily accumulated £553.07 in cashback. Her highest cashback came from loading £800 onto an IKEA gift card during a house move, yielding her £48 at a 6% cashback rate. Emily integrated tuck. into her shopping routine, often involving her children. She now considers cashback options before purchasing, aiming to avoid paying full price whenever possible by utilizing cashback and discounts.

Emily saves her cashback, transferring it monthly to a savings account where it accrues interest. Her goal is to accumulate £500 for Christmas expenses, after which she allocates the funds towards holiday spending. Although there is a 30p processing fee for cashback withdrawals, users can bypass this fee by converting their balance into a gift card.

Neel Thakrar, CEO of tuck., commended Emily’s financial discipline, emphasizing how consistent savings can lead to significant outcomes. He highlighted Emily’s strategic approach to utilizing cashback for specific purposes, such as covering Christmas costs and funding holiday expenditures. Thakrar emphasized tuck.’s mission to help individuals optimize their spending and make a tangible impact through incremental cashback rewards.
