“German Eurojackpot Winner Delays €120M Prize Collection”

A fortunate individual from Germany recently clinched a staggering €120 million in the Eurojackpot but surprised everyone by delaying the collection of the prize for two weeks. The winner, who remains anonymous, opted for a more relaxed approach, taking time to absorb the magnitude of the windfall before claiming it promptly.

After a leisurely wait, the winner eventually appeared at the lottery organizer’s premises on October 7, spending about an hour there. Despite the significant sum at stake, the winner remained composed throughout the verification process, with officials confirming the legitimacy of the winning ticket.

While the massive cash prize is scheduled for transfer to the winner’s designated account next week, a thorough transaction review is set to precede the transfer. The winner, described as “very reserved,” refrained from disclosing any future plans or intentions regarding the substantial jackpot.

Initially, the lottery organizers suspected the ticket belonged to a casual player before the winner came forward. There were even discussions about launching a search campaign in the area where the ticket was sold using posters and advertisements.

The winning ticket was originally bought for a mere €19 (approximately £16.50). According to Eurojackpot regulations, the winner had a three-year window to claim the prize before it expired. The deliberate decision to delay claiming the prize showcases a calm and mature stance towards the life-changing event.

The Eurojackpot grand prize commences at €10,000,000 and can accumulate to €120,000,000 through rollovers. Tickets are available for purchase in various countries, including Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Greece, in addition to Germany.

Participation in Eurojackpot typically costs €2 per line in most regions, with exceptions in Lithuania, Greece, and Slovenia where prices vary due to additional game features.
