“Rival Boxers Clash Over Weight Clause in December Showdown”

Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor has disclosed that his rival Andrew Tate demanded a weight clause be included before their upcoming bout. Tate, aged 39, is transitioning to professional boxing and is scheduled to face DeMoor on December 20. Formerly a successful kickboxer and champion, Tate’s career was marred by injuries towards the end.

Following speculation about his return to action, Tate opted to switch to boxing under Misfits instead of kickboxing. DeMoor, the reigning heavyweight champion, poses a formidable challenge for Tate. The tension between the two fighters was evident at a press conference in Dubai, where they engaged in a heated exchange.

DeMoor faced a brief delay as Tate initially failed to show up but later arrived in a grand entrance on a boat. The confrontation escalated when DeMoor revealed that Tate imposed a 40lb weight limit in their contracts, which DeMoor opposed. The verbal sparring intensified with Tate expressing surprise at the weight clause.

The official weight limit for the bout remains undisclosed, mirroring the procedures for Jake Paul’s upcoming fight with Anthony Joshua. Joshua, a former heavyweight champion, has been restricted to weighing under 245lb for his fight. In contrast, Tate, who previously fought at light-heavyweight, seems to be following Paul’s lead in moving up weight classes.

As the fight approaches, tensions between the fighters continue to rise. Tate emphasized his dedication to the sport, stating that he is fully prepared for the challenge. DeMoor, on the other hand, persistently criticized Tate and questioned his motives, accusing him of being fearful. The much-anticipated fight between Tate and DeMoor is set for December 20 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium.

Fans can catch the action live on Rumble Premium, with a monthly subscription priced at £7.48 ($9.99). The event promises to be a thrilling showdown between two determined fighters, adding to the excitement in the world of professional boxing.
