Tragedy struck in Dublin as a teenager lost their life, and two others were wounded in a brutal knife assault.
According to reports, a suspect armed with a knife viciously attacked individuals at Grattan Wood in the Donaghmede region of Dublin this afternoon. The attack resulted in one teenager being fatally stabbed, while another suffered severe injuries.
Witnesses mentioned a sizable crowd, comprising both men and women, being present during the incident.
Several individuals fled the scene when the stabbing occurred, as per the Irish Times.
The injured victims were swiftly transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Law enforcement officers have apprehended the suspect, and a homicide investigation is now underway. Dublin Live reported that the individuals involved in the attack were described as “teenage juveniles” holding foreign citizenship.
Photos from the location depict a significant police presence as forensic specialists comb the area for evidence.
In an official statement, the Irish police (Gardai) stated: “An Garda Síochána is currently addressing a grave and ongoing situation at a residential site in Dublin 13 today, Wednesday, October 15, 2025. As the situation is still developing, no further details are available at this time.”
