“Former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak Joins Sunday Times for Business Column”

Rishi Sunak, the former Prime Minister, has secured a new position following his departure from No10, adding to his growing list of roles. Despite facing challenges after leading the Tories to their worst election outcome, Sunak is now set to pen a weekly column for the Sunday Times newspaper, focusing on business-related topics both in print and online starting this weekend.

Described by the newspaper as an esteemed and reputable figure, Sunak will cover various subjects such as business, technology, politics, and the economy in his column. Earlier reports revealed his advisory roles at tech giants Microsoft and Anthropic, as well as his recent appointment at Goldman Sachs, where he will serve as a senior adviser, leveraging his unique perspectives on global politics and the economy.

With a reported worth of £640 million, Sunak and his wife plan to donate the fees from his newspaper column to The Richmond Project, an educational charity they founded to support children in enhancing their math skills. Sunak’s appointment at the Sunday Times has been approved by ACOBA, the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments.

Expressing his excitement about joining the Sunday Times team, Sunak emphasized his eagerness to engage in weekly discussions with readers on the evolving world economy, ranging from global politics to technological advancements. The editor of The Sunday Times, Ben Taylor, praised Sunak’s extensive expertise and intellect, anticipating that his insights will be a must-read for readers navigating the complex business landscape in the current era.
