A father from Scotland is cautioning residents in Edinburgh following an incident where his partner was menaced by a man on an e-bike while out with their baby in a pram.
The girlfriend of Kai Liam was on Wardieburn Place West at approximately 5:15 pm on Friday, October 10, when she was approached by an individual.
Video footage captured the man slowly riding his bike on the road, glaring at a mother pushing a pram on the sidewalk. The woman quickly maneuvered the pram to a nearby shop or home, out of sight of the CCTV cameras, as the man continued to follow her, gesturing and speaking in a threatening manner.
Authorities in Scotland confirmed receiving reports of the intimidating behavior and stated that investigations are currently ongoing.
Kai emphasized the importance of alerting others about the incident involving his partner to prevent the man from targeting other women. He recounted the distressing experience, stating, “My girlfriend was returning from the shops when a man on an e-bike started following her, threatening to harm her and our child in the pram.”
“He persistently threatened her while getting dangerously close, circling around, all while our five-month-old baby cried in the pram,” Kai added.
“I want to raise awareness in case he targets another woman. He initially approached another woman with a pram who managed to walk away.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland mentioned, “On Friday, October 10, 2025, around 5:15 pm, a report was received regarding threatening behavior in the Wardieburn Place West area of Edinburgh.”
