Apple unveils iPhone 17e, Samsung introduces budget-friendly Galaxy A57 and A37

Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17e, a new smartphone offering significant improvements at an attractive price point. Featuring a speedy A19 processor, MagSafe charging, durable design, and a high-quality single-lens camera, the device is priced at £599, making it £200 cheaper than Apple’s flagship iPhone.

Samsung has also introduced two new budget-friendly devices, the A57 and A37, starting at £399. While these models may not match the performance or innovative charging of the iPhone 17e, they do boast a 6.7-inch screen with 120Hz technology, providing smoother navigation and gameplay compared to the 60Hz display on the 17e.

The Galaxy phones come equipped with impressive features such as large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and P68 water and dust resistance. Samsung has integrated advanced AI capabilities into the A37 and A57 models, including Google’s Circle to Search feature for quick web searches and enhanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser and Best Face.

Moreover, the phones offer improved Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app, allowing users to transcribe call recordings and convert voicemail audio into text easily. Samsung has committed to providing long-term support for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G, promising up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches.

Both models will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th, with the Galaxy A57 5G priced from £529 (256GB) and the Galaxy A37 5G starting at £399 (128GB). The Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac colors, while the Galaxy A37 5G will come in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White options.

Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Division, emphasized the importance of making AI accessible to more users while showcasing the practical benefits of AI in everyday performance through the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G.
