An ex-airline attendant issues a cautionary tale about her unfortunate experience with botched cosmetic surgeries in Turkey. Alanna Pow, 22, initially had no reservations about opting for affordable cosmetic procedures overseas but now deeply regrets her decision. She describes the aftermath of her surgeries as so severe that she couldn’t sit comfortably for weeks.
Alanna recounts her dissatisfaction with the results of her first two Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBLs), labeling them as “butchered.” After spending £18,000 and enduring two lengthy trips to Turkey, she concluded that the country was no longer a viable option for such procedures. The Australian model recently underwent her third BBL in her home country, hoping it would be the final corrective surgery, and now advises against falling for cheap surgery offers abroad.
Expressing her disappointment, Alanna, who has a substantial following on Instagram (@alannasworldx), stated, “I wouldn’t recommend Turkey – I feel like I’ve been botched.” She criticized the initial surgeon for excessive fat removal from her thighs, resulting in an uneven and insecure appearance. She admits to choosing the clinic based on another influencer’s recommendation and the ease of booking, which led to a hasty decision.
Alanna reveals that the second Turkish clinic sweetened the deal by including a nose job alongside the BBL. Despite the successful rhinoplasty, the botched butt procedures left her with lasting damage. She mentions that post-surgery restrictions prevented her from flying for two weeks, emphasizing the contrast in post-operative care between Turkey and Australia.
Despite the significant investment and rigorous recovery process, Alanna is content with the recent outcomes, stating, “He fixed my legs, made my hips wider and my waist smaller.” She highlights the difference in surgical techniques between Australia’s Vaser liposuction, which tightens the skin, and the method used in Turkey, crediting the former for visible improvements.
Alanna, who now feels confident in her appearance and earns a substantial monthly income, acknowledges the convenience of booking surgeries abroad but stresses the importance of stringent regulations and quality results. She emphasizes the necessity of saving up for proper procedures rather than opting for discounted options overseas.
