Carlos Alcaraz has ended his coaching relationship with Juan Carlos Ferrero after a successful seven-year partnership. Ferrero took Alcaraz under his wing when the young Spanish player was just 15 years old and guided him to multiple achievements.
During their time together, Alcaraz secured six Grand Slam titles, rose to the top ranking in the world, and clinched an Olympic silver medal. The decision to part ways was made public shortly after Ferrero and Samuel Lopez were honored with the 2025 ATP Coach of the Year Award for their exceptional work with Alcaraz.
Alcaraz shared the news of their separation on social media, expressing gratitude for the journey they had embarked on together. Ferrero also took to Instagram to reflect on their time together, acknowledging the challenges and successes they had shared.
While Alcaraz continues to receive coaching from Samuel Lopez at Ferrero’s academy in Alicante, the reasons behind Ferrero’s departure from Alcaraz’s coaching setup remain undisclosed.
