Morrisons is distributing more than 27 tonnes of carrots for customers to offer to Rudolph and his companions. Shoppers can claim a complimentary carrot from the “Naturally Wonky” selection between December 20 and Christmas Eve, subject to availability. These carrots may have slightly unconventional shapes or sizes.
Chris Smith, Morrisons’ Senior Trader for Root Vegetables, stated, “Christmas is a time for spreading happiness and joy, so we are excited to provide our young customers with a free wonky carrot to leave out for Rudolph and friends on Christmas Eve.”
“Our Naturally Wonky range supports British farmers, minimizes waste, and offers customers a great-value option that still delivers fantastic taste,” Smith added.
This initiative coincides with numerous major UK supermarkets reducing the prices of Christmas vegetables to just 5p, including potatoes, carrots, parsnips, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. You can find a detailed list of discounted Christmas vegetables below.
