Nigel Farage disclosed earning more than £1 million from secondary occupations since the recent general election. He holds the record for the most paid sources of income among House of Commons members, with a total of 12 secondary roles listed in the Register of Members Financial Interests.
Analysis of the Register indicates that Farage accumulated an estimated £1.2 million from these roles since the July 2024 election, surpassing the earnings of other MPs. His primary sources of income include presenting at GB News (£511,000), serving as a brand ambassador for Direct Bullion (£281,000), and creating videos for Cameo (£171,000). This recent declaration marks the first time Farage has publicly disclosed his extra earnings since earlier this year.
Over the period, Farage received an additional £189,000 from various activities, such as speaking engagements for Imperial Independent Media and his presenting role at GB News. While MPs are required to declare secondary income within 28 days of receipt, some of Farage’s payments were reported after this deadline.
For instance, he registered a payment of £43,491 from GB News on July 31 only on October 3. Similarly, three payments totaling £26,000 from Imperial Independent Media in May and June were not declared until October 3. The Register also reveals income declarations from other MPs, with Rishi Sunak being the second-highest earner after Farage, followed by Sir Geoffrey Cox, George Freeman, Sir Jeremy Hunt, and Nick Timothy.
