Renowned DJ and music producer, Matt Tolfrey, has passed away at the age of 44. Tolfrey, known for founding Leftroom Records, was highly respected in the music industry for his exceptional DJing and production talents.

The sad news was shared by his close friend, Damian Lazarus, who expressed heartfelt condolences on social media. Lazarus highlighted Tolfrey’s significant contributions to the music scene and their long-standing collaboration spanning two decades.

The cause of Tolfrey’s death remains undisclosed. Born in 1980, he kickstarted his DJ career in Nottingham during the early 2000s, catching the attention of industry stalwarts like James Baillie. His breakthrough performance at fabric nightclub in 2004 set the stage for his successful journey in the UK and global house and techno scenes.
