Samsung has recently unveiled a trio of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with the standout feature being the Privacy Display on the S26 Ultra. This innovative feature ensures privacy by making content disappear when not directly viewed. The display can be customized to block specific apps or notifications, enhancing user privacy.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces the industry’s first built-in Privacy Display, revolutionizing phone privacy protection through controlled pixel light dispersion. The device boasts a thinner design, extended battery life, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, enabling rapid charging up to 75% in just 30 minutes.
The Ultra model also features an upgraded quad rear camera for improved low-light photography and enhanced video stabilization with Super Steady capabilities. Additionally, it includes an S Pen for note-taking on its 6.9-inch AMOLED screen. Joining the Ultra are the standard S26 and the larger S26 Plus, both powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip and equipped with triple-lens rear cameras.
All new Samsung smartphones receive a significant smart features boost with the Galaxy AI upgrade, offering enhancements like Now Nudge for personalized suggestions to aid users in staying focused. The devices also support Google Gemini for intuitive web searches.
While these updates bring valuable enhancements, they come with increased costs this year. The UK pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S26 range is as follows:
– S26: 256GB £879, 512GB £1,049
– S26 Plus: 256GB £1,099, 512GB £1,269
– S26 Ultra: 256GB £1,279, 512GB £1,449, 1TB (with 16GB RAM) £1,699
The new Galaxy S26 lineup will be available in stores starting next month.
