“Scheffler Chasing Masters Victory, Eyeing £3.35M Prize”

World No.1 golfer Scottie Scheffler remains a strong contender for victory at the ongoing prestigious Masters tournament. His recent impressive round of 65 has positioned him just four strokes behind joint leaders Rory McIlroy and Cameron Young. A win at the tournament would not only secure Scheffler his third major title but also a substantial cash prize of £3.35 million.

This potential victory could solidify Scheffler’s top ranking in the golf world and bring financial benefits not only to him but also to his loyal caddie, Ted Scott. Caddies typically receive a percentage of the winnings, with 10% being a common practice for the top spot and varying percentages for lower placements, sometimes supplemented by a base salary.

Despite the substantial financial implications, Scheffler has admitted to not dwelling on the monetary rewards, emphasizing his focus on the game itself. He mentioned in a podcast interview that he relies on others, like his caddie and support staff, to manage the financial aspects while he concentrates on playing golf.

The Masters tournament coverage began on April 6, offering golf enthusiasts the opportunity to watch the event live through Sky’s Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, which includes a wide range of channels and additional streaming services. This year’s tournament has witnessed exciting competition, with Scheffler’s impressive performance placing him in a promising position for a strong finish.
