“Tyson Fury Dominates Arslanbek Makhmudov in Comeback Win”

Tyson Fury secured a comfortable win against Arslanbek Makhmudov in the presence of his rival, Anthony Joshua. Despite dominating the match, Fury, who had returned from a 16-month hiatus, did not perform at his peak. The former heavyweight champion managed to outclass his Russian opponent, leading to a unanimous points victory with judges scoring the bout 120-108, 120-108, and 119-109 in favor of Fury. Reflecting on his performance, Fury acknowledged the challenge of being away from the ring for so long but expressed satisfaction with his boxing skills over 12 rounds.

Although eager to call out Anthony Joshua for a future bout, Fury’s challenge was met with Joshua’s reluctance to engage in an immediate fight. Throughout the match, Fury paid tribute to Ricky Hatton, donning gloves and shorts featuring the former champion’s name. Despite a slow start, Fury gradually gained momentum in the second round, showcasing his ability to anticipate Makhmudov’s moves and land significant blows. As the fight progressed, Fury maintained control, focusing on attacking Makhmudov’s body and ultimately dictating the pace and direction of the match.

In another match earlier in the event, Conor Benn clinched a points victory against Regis Prograis after parting ways with promoter Eddie Hearn. Benn, who recently joined Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing, faced challenges during the fight, sustaining cuts over both eyes from head clashes. Despite the setbacks, Benn managed to secure the win, with judges awarding him the victory. Additionally, Richard Riakporhe claimed the British heavyweight title by defeating Jeamie TKV, ending TKV’s brief reign as champion. Justis Huni also emerged victorious in a tightly contested match against Clarke, bouncing back from a previous defeat.
