A McDonald’s restaurant in Bristol faced a startling event when an individual threw a firework into the establishment while customers were present. The Bristol police have shared a CCTV image of a person they wish to speak to regarding this incident. The suspect allegedly kicked the door of the Horsefair McDonald’s on Sunday, October 12, shattering one of the glass panels.
The following day, on Monday, October 13, the same individual returned to the fast-food outlet and tossed a firework into the staff prep area. The firework struck the order screen, rebounded, and landed close to a customer. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the chaos.
Described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, aged between 16 and 18, with a slim build, afro-style hair, and a moustache, the suspect was seen wearing a bandana, a black ‘Trapstar’ puffed coat, a hooded jacket, Nike jogging bottoms with a red logo and ‘Trap’ on the front, black jogging bottoms, and black trainers, while carrying a black Nike bag.
Sergeant Sean Underwood of the neighborhood policing unit emphasized the dangers of releasing fireworks in crowded areas, highlighting the risks involved and the need for personal safety. Authorities are conducting patrols and collaborating with Trading Standards to ensure proper handling and sale of fireworks.
Avon and Somerset Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual involved in the incident. The male in question is believed to have crucial information related to the fireworks being set off at the Horsefair McDonald’s. The suspect damaged the restaurant’s door on October 12 and threw a firework into the premises on October 13.
The police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation. The incident, although alarming, fortunately did not result in any injuries to individuals present.
