Shocking video footage depicts a group of 12 individuals forcefully entering a property in Skegness, Lincolnshire. The incident, which occurred on February 27, 2023, captured the gang wielding weapons like baseball bats, axes, knives, metal poles, screwdrivers, and a golf club after using a motorbike to break down the front door.
The group, led by motorbike rider Paul Johns, proceeded to cause significant damage inside the property while the occupants managed to escape unharmed through the back door. Through CCTV footage, witness statements, and DNA evidence, the authorities were able to apprehend Johns, along with two other individuals, Shane Tune and Tommy Gaskin Snr.
Following investigations, the trio faced charges of affray and admitted guilt. Subsequently, Johns received a 14-month jail sentence, Tune a 10-month sentence, and Gaskin Snr awaits sentencing. The incident was reported to the police after witnesses observed the group attempting to forcibly enter a house with weapons, including the use of a motorbike as a tool for entry.
Law enforcement emphasized that the attack was likely motivated by a drug-related debt. Detective Constable David Bettison highlighted the detrimental impact of drug-related crimes on communities, emphasizing the commitment of the police to combat such criminal activities and ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
