“PGA Tour Thrives as Koepka Returns, LIV Golf Faces Pressure”

Tommy Fleetwood has expressed his approval of Brooks Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour while noting that LIV Golf has not shown interest in him during this postseason.

Koepka recently left the Saudi-backed tour and swiftly rejoined the PGA Tour, marking his comeback at the upcoming Farmers Insurance Open. This move is seen as a significant boost for the PGA Tour, putting pressure on LIV Golf to retain their other key players, with Patrick Reed hinting at a potential return as well.

Fleetwood, currently ranked third in the world, praised the PGA Tour for its exceptional events and lucrative prize money. He emphasized the positive impact of Koepka’s return on the tour and highlighted the uncertainty surrounding other players’ decisions in the future.

Having earned $10 million for his victory at the Tour Championships, Fleetwood is now aiming for his first Major win, emphasizing the importance of aligning one’s goals and dreams with where they play. He acknowledged that players like Koepka choose to compete where they believe they can excel and achieve their best performance.

LIV Golf, financially supported by the Public Investment Fund of Newcastle, made substantial investments in previous seasons, including lucrative deals with players like Koepka and Rahm. This year, they have made less high-profile signings, with Fleetwood revealing that they have not pursued him in the current postseason.

Meanwhile, Shane Lowry, Fleetwood’s Ryder Cup teammate, commended Koepka for his quick return to the PGA Tour and highlighted the added value his participation will bring to smaller events. Lowry expressed his focus on his own game rather than external factors, reflecting on his recent performance at the Dubai Invitational.

Overall, the golfing community is observing the evolving landscape of professional golf with keen interest as players make decisions regarding their future competitions and endeavors.
