A tragic incident unfolded in Paris where a 12-year-old girl named Lola Daviet was brutally raped, tortured, and murdered. The perpetrator, Dahbia Benkired, a 24-year-old homeless Algerian immigrant, was swiftly apprehended by the police. Recently, Benkired made history by becoming the first woman in France to receive a life sentence without parole for her horrendous crimes.
Court proceedings revealed the chilling details of Lola’s final moments. The young girl, who enjoyed camping with her family, encountered Benkired outside her apartment building. Surveillance footage captured Benkired entering the building without authorization and lurking in the corridors. Tragically, Lola was last seen alive following Benkired down a hallway.
Benkired confessed in court that she lured Lola into an elevator, restrained her, and ultimately took her life. The innocent girl was subjected to unspeakable acts of violence, including rape, suffocation, and mutilation. Benkired callously abandoned Lola in the entrance hall, allowing her to perish alone.
After concealing the body in a suitcase, Benkired was captured on CCTV leaving the scene with the suitcase. The trial painted Benkired as a monstrous individual, and she was rightfully sentenced to life imprisonment for her monstrous deeds.
Notably, Benkired’s life sentence places her among notorious criminals such as Salah Abdeslam, a member of the ISIS group responsible for the tragic Paris attacks in 2015.
