O’Sullivan, also known as ‘The Rocket,’ has been showcasing exceptional form at the World Open in Yushan, China. He defeated Matthew Selt and Shaun Murphy to secure a spot in the quarter-final against Day.
During the match, O’Sullivan set a new record in the opening frame by achieving the largest break in snooker history. He flawlessly executed a 16-red clearance after receiving a free ball earlier in the frame, allowing him to clear the table with precision. Although he momentarily veered off-course during one shot, O’Sullivan managed to maintain his composure and finish the break by potting a remarkable black to reach a total of 153.
