The upcoming Masters Champions Dinner, considered the most prestigious dinner event in golf, is approaching in less than three weeks. Rory McIlroy, the reigning champion, recently disclosed the menu for this illustrious gathering, featuring appetizers such as Rosie’s dates stuffed with goat’s cheese, a dish inspired by his mother.
Last year, McIlroy clinched the coveted Green Jacket after a gripping final round at Augusta National, securing his place in the career Grand Slam. As a tradition, the Green Jacket winner hosts the iconic champions dinner, which will be attended by notable figures like Scottie Scheffler this year.
McIlroy’s dinner menu, unveiled on Wednesday, offers guests a choice between Wagyu Filet Mignon and seared salmon as the main course. This exclusive event, known as the Masters Club Dinner, is restricted to past Green Jacket winners and is scheduled for Tuesday during tournament week.
Each year, the defending champion selects the menu for the dinner. In 2025, Scottie Scheffler presented a diverse menu including cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, and “Papa Scheff’s meatball and ravioli bites,” with a humorous nod to a mishap from the previous Christmas. The event has seen various unique menus, such as Jon Rahm’s Spanish-inspired cuisine crafted by renowned chef José Andrés in 2024 and Hideki Matsuyama’s Japanese feast in 2022.
Sir Nick Faldo, a three-time Green Jacket winner, reminisced about past dinners, highlighting Bubba Watson’s unconventional menu as one of the least favored by attendees due to its simplicity. Despite occasional oddities in the menu choices, Faldo emphasized the sentimental value of the evening, where champions gather to share stories and enjoy light-hearted banter.
The Masters Champions Dinner symbolizes a blend of tradition, camaraderie, and culinary excellence, making it a cherished and unforgettable experience for all involved.
