Terrifying video footage captured the moment a runaway tipper truck collided with a garbage truck and cars after running through traffic lights in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. The incident occurred on a Tuesday morning when the out-of-control lorry descended a hill, causing chaos at an intersection.
A dashcam recording revealed the green light signaling the garbage truck and other vehicles to move forward before the speeding tipper truck crashed into them from the left. The impact was severe, ripping apart the front section of the garbage truck and scattering debris on the road.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department responded swiftly to the scene after being alerted at 9:07 am, rescuing three injured foreign men and a 34-year-old woman from the wreckage. Emergency services were on-site promptly to provide medical assistance to the victims.
Subsequently, it was confirmed that six individuals, including the 35-year-old local tipper truck driver, sustained injuries in the accident. One victim suffered a broken leg, as reported by the Klang Utara police authorities. The driver of the tipper truck was taken into custody for questioning while an investigation into the crash was initiated.
Earlier this year, a separate incident involving a lorry veering across a motorway central reservation was reported. A driver narrowly avoided a collision as the lorry headed towards oncoming traffic, showcasing the potential dangers of reckless driving on highways.
