Sky has revealed that starting in April, there will be price increases for certain broadband and TV customers. Broadband subscribers can expect a monthly rise of £3, while premium TV package costs will go up by £1 to £3. Sky will notify customers about these changes starting today.
Following a flexible pricing model, Sky allows customers under contract to cancel without early termination fees. The adjusted prices will take effect from April. On a positive note, millions of TV customers will soon have access to HBO Max, Disney+, and Hayu as part of their standard package.
Netflix is already included, bringing the total value of streaming apps to £20 a month. A Sky spokesperson stated that the price adjustments are necessary to support investments in fast broadband, top-notch entertainment, live sports, and reliable services, while managing industry-wide cost increases.
Sky Mobile customers recently experienced bill hikes, with most seeing a £1.50 monthly increase, totaling £18 annually. The new prices will be reflected in bills from February 14, 2026, marking the first price change for in-contract Sky Mobile customers in over seven years.
Customers dissatisfied with the price hikes can terminate their packages without penalties if they are within the minimum contract term. The price of the social tariff for low-income individuals on Sky Mobile will remain unchanged. Out-of-contract individuals are advised to compare prices online to potentially save money on mobile and broadband services.
It’s crucial to assess current usage levels for minutes, texts, and broadband speed to avoid overpaying for unused allowances. Consider switching providers or negotiating a better deal with your current provider. Eligible benefit recipients should check for cheaper social tariff options.
